I replaced my 19 yr old stack-able Maytag with this "Laundry Center" Whirlpool. It has met my expectations - quiet, efficient and meets the "green" standard expected for current cleaning appliances. I would have given it a 5 star rating except for the way it's put together. The old stack-able Maytag allowed you to separate the lower washing machine unit from the upper dryer unit and frame. This type of design would have allowed for an easier delivery which required going through a front door and up stairs to its final destination. My understanding is the Whirlpool now owns Maytag - they should have kept the old stack-able Maytag design for their current "Laundry Center" Whirlpool design.
